Progress on 4 Andaman Ring Projects: Transportation Authority Orders Port Construction to Accelerate, Starting with 2 Locations This Year

The government is moving forward with the development of water transportation infrastructure in the southern region, particularly the Andaman Ring Port project, which will connect three key provinces: Phuket, Phang Nga, and Krabi.

The Andaman Ring Port project focuses on the development of four ports: Manoh Pier, Chong Lard Pier, Ao Por Pier, and Tha Lane Pier. This year, construction will begin on the first two ports: Manoh Pier and Chong Lard Pier in Phang Nga province, to support the transportation of both passengers and vehicles and to promote marine tourism.

Once completed, the project will help reduce travel time between provinces, lower transportation costs, and stimulate the local economy, especially in tourism. This will better prepare the southern region to accommodate more tourists and create new business opportunities.

The Andaman Ring Port project is another important initiative that the government prioritizes to enhance water transportation infrastructure in the southern region, helping to connect travel routes and promote sustainable tourism growth.
