Exploring the “5 Must Do’s in Thailand” Concept to Boost Tourism and Elevate Thailand to a World-Class Destination

The Minister of Tourism and Sports presided over a policy briefing aimed at advancing Thailand as a world-class destination by encouraging private sector involvement, attracting investment, and enhancing service standards. The initiative promotes standout destinations through the “5 Must Dos in Thailand” concept, designed to boost tourism value and draw visitors all year-round.

The Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) outlined strategies to stimulate both domestic and international markets. Domestically, TAT will promote travel across Thailand’s five regions by highlighting unique cultural traditions and local soft power, encouraging sustainable tourism. For the international market, TAT will focus on increasing travel frequency and expanding routes, particularly targeting nearby markets with the “Overland Travel” campaign aimed at the New Gen, positioning Thailand as a modern travel destination. For long-haul markets, TAT’s Airlines Focus strategy will establish new routes and increase flights from local international airports, advancing Thailand’s vision as a cashless society with Net Zero Tourism goals.

During the high season from late 2024 to 2025, Thailand will host major events like the Thailand Winter Festival, Amazing Thailand Signature, and Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2024. Looking forward, 2025 will see the launch of the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism Year 2025” to sustain tourism momentum and elevate Thailand’s global image.
