The government organizes celebrations to honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty's 72nd birthday on July 28, with utmost gratitude for His Majesty's boundless benevolence. The government is advancing 10 royal commemorative projects to embody the King's principles, aspirations, and policies related to environmental development and improving the quality of life for the people. Public participation is a key component of these projects, which include:
1.Project to Upgrade Bueng Nong Bon Public Park and 72 Pocket Parks: This project aims to increase green spaces and natural tourism spots in Bangkok and surrounding areas. It involves developing Suan Luang Rama IX and Bueng Nong Bon Public Park and creating 72 pocket parks to provide accessible recreational areas for the public.
2.72 Million Trees Reforestation Project: This initiative focuses on restoring and preserving watersheds nationwide by planting 72 million trees. Volunteers from all sectors are encouraged to participate in reforestation and tree maintenance efforts.
3. 72 Large Groundwater Sources Project to Alleviate Drought: To mitigate drought, this project expands large groundwater sourcing to 72 locations, ensuring a year-round water supply for consumption.
4. "10 Beautiful Canals, Clear Water, Happy Thais" Project: This project develops rivers, canals, and waterways nationwide and improves the quality of life for residents along the banks. It includes organizing residential areas, maintaining clean pathways, and enhancing public utilities.
5.Sustainable Development of 72 Waterways Project: By dredging canals and reservoirs in 72 locations, this project aims to increase water storage capacity and provide a long-term solution to drought problems.
6.Project to Upgrade Somdet Phra Yuparat Hospitals and Commemorative Community Hospitals: This initiative enhances public health services by developing Somdet Phra Yuparat Hospitals, Commemorative Community Hospitals, and Chai Pat Hospitals, covering 72 locations.
7. Quality of Life, Agricultural Land, and Housing Development Project: This project provides agricultural land and housing for people, including renovating and repairing homes for the disabled and underprivileged.
8. 10,000,000 CC Blood Donation Project: The government, private sectors, and the public are encouraged to donate blood, with a goal of collecting 10 million CCs to help those in need.
9. 72,000 Sets of Equipment for the Disabled Project: This initiative supports low-income individuals with mobility or physical disabilities by providing appropriate equipment to help them live independently.
10. "Uniting Hearts to Provide Clean Water to Schools" Project:This project aims to improve the quality of drinking water in schools nationwide, ensuring students have access to clean water.
On this auspicious occasion, the success of these projects relies on the participation of the public and the support of the private sector to achieve their objectives. This aims to bring happiness and improve the quality of life for the people, in tribute to His Majesty the King, who is dearly beloved by all Thais.
