Stimulating Tourism through Unseen New Chapters: Pinning New Corners, Opening Different Thai Perspectives

     "Unseen New Chapters: Pinning New Corners, Opening Different Thai Perspectives" is a tourism promotion campaign by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The campaign invites Thai people to vote for their favorite 'unseen' tourist destinations from the 77 provinces across Thailand. It encourages people to choose the right destinations, select their preferred provinces, and presents 77 tourist spots - one from each province, in order to provide a new and unique travel experience.

     The aim of this campaign is to stimulate domestic tourism, increase occupancy rates, distribute income to grassroots, and improve liquidity for local tourism operators. The selection criteria for the locations include having interesting stories yet are still unknown to the general public, having diverse and beautiful potential, having good tourism management systems, being easily accessible, and never been selected as 'unseen' or 'unseen new series' tourist locations before.

     This opens up an opportunity for every Thai person to participate in selecting the new Unseen New Chapters destinations of Thailand through the website www.tourismthailand.org/Unseennewchapters. The selection process will whittle down from 77 locations to just 25, consisting of 20 popular tourist destinations voted for by Thai people and 5 selected by a panel of experts. The final results were announced on June 27, 2023.

     The 25 selected tourist destinations under the Unseen New Chapters campaign will be further promoted by the TAT through the strategy of "Music Marketing". They will organize the "UNSEEN MUSIC VACATION" and produce 5 "UNSEEN LIVE MUSIC VDOs" for each of the 5 regions, featuring renowned artists.
