Supporting documents for Tourist Visa application

     For foreigners who are planning to travel to Thailand, the required documents for a tourist visa are as follows:

1. Passport, or travel document as a substitute for a passport, which is valid not less than 6 months;
2. Completed visa application form;
3. Two 2 ½ inch photographs (taken within the last 6 months, without hat or dark glasses);
4. Evidence that shows that you will leave Thailand after the end of your trip, such as a round-trip air ticket or a ticket to a third country;
5. Documents from travel agencies (in the case of traveling with a tour operator).

     You may be asked to provide additional documents, or an immigration or embassy officer may decide to interview you.

    Tourist visas will be issued to foreigners who wish to travel to Thailand for the purpose of tourism. The visa is valid for 3 months and up to 12 months, and the period of stay in Thailand is not more than 60 days for a single entry. It is necessary to apply for the third month before the 60-day period expires.
