Roles and responsibilities of the Tourist Assistance Center

Tourists must know: A comprehensive one-stop-service: "Tourist Assistance Center"

      The issue of tourist safety in Thailand affects the country's image and the travel decisions of potential visitors, both for tourism and business. Therefore, the government has established the Bureau of Standards and Supervision of Tourist Safety, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, with the establishment of a Tourist Assistance Center (TAC). 

      The main mission is to monitor situations and examine the indications that affect or may affect the safety of tourists. It also disseminates information to notify tourists, develops standards regarding the safety of tourists, and functions as a center for coordinating and facilitating responses, solving problems (including receiving complaints from tourists), and coordinating with relevant agencies to help tourists with their problems.
