Visa types for normal tourism

      Of course, when we want to travel around the world, one of the important things that foreign tourists need to have is a visa to enter that country. 

      If the destination is Thailand, then a tourist visa is appropriate for foreigners who want to travel for more than 30 days. The period of stay in Thailand is no more than 60 days, but it is possible to apply for an extension of the permit period for another 30 days, making 90 days in all. Application can be made at an immigration office either in Bangkok or in other provinces; extension is at the discretion of the Immigration Office staff. Persons from a selection of 56 countries or “economic zones” may enter Thailand temporarily without applying for a visa and are allowed to stay for no more than 30 days at a time.


The main types of visas available for visiting are as follows: 

1. Tourist visa: Visa validity is for two months (60 days), with possible extension for one more month (90 days total), and there will be a fee of 1,000 baht; visitors must have 20,000 baht per person (for the first two individuals), but for families, the fee is 40,000 baht;

2. No visa: Visa validity is 30 days per time, limited to two times per calendar year, with proof of having 10,000 baht per person (for the first two) or 20,000 baht per family; 

3. “Visa on Arrival” is a tourist visa good for a period of not more than 15 days. without having to apply for a visa in advance to apply for a visa when arriving in Thailand, the immigration channel. The countries that are eligible for this type of visa are only 18 nationalities and 1 economic zone. Once you know the processes, it's not difficult at all. Prepare to pack your bags and go to apply for a visa at a Thai embassy or consulate-general located in the country where you reside.
