Explore the Magnificent Seven Seas of Chumphon - Coconut Island

When it comes to Chumphon, many might think of it as a gateway to the South, while others may recognize it for the renowned "Chumphon Archipelago" or the Mu Ko Chumphon National Park. These stunning marine destinations have become a focal point for travelers who yearn for a visit, captivated by the region's diverse and abundant natural attractions. Besides, the islands of the Chumphon Archipelago are home to beautiful coral reefs and nesting areas for the Bridled Terns. Today, we'd like to take you on a virtual journey to explore one intriguing and incredibly beautiful island in the Chumphon Archipelago - Coconut Island.

Located just about 1 kilometer from Sairee Beach, Coconut Island is a petite paradise featuring a stretch of powdery white sand beach approximately 50 meters long. The landscape on the island is breathtakingly beautiful, with a well-preserved coral reef situated on the west side of the island. Coconut Island is also a sanctuary for Bridled Terns. This small island, with its hundred-meter long beach of white sand, still maintains its exquisite natural landscape. Coupled with a thriving coral reef on the west of the island, it offers visitors the chance to swim and snorkel in shallow waters.

Due to Coconut Island's status as a sanctuary for Bridled Terns, travelers wishing to witness the beauty of this island must notify the Chumphon Provincial Office at least one week in advance. This allows arrangements to be made for a guide to escort you on your island tour or to organize a boat trip for snorkeling around the island.
