Seven spectacular destinations for the rainy season - Thung Salaeng Luang National Park, Phetchabun

One of the top attractions during the monsoon season, piquing the interest of many travelers, is the Thung Salaeng Luang National Park. Known as the "Savannah of Thailand," it's the third-largest national park in the country, sprawling across Wang Thong, Nakhon Thai and Noen Maprang districts in Phitsanulok province, and Khao Kho and Wang Pong districts in Phetchabun province. This vast park, about 16 square kilometers in size, boasts expansive green grasslands, mixed deciduous forests, and pine forests, teeming with a variety of flowers and wildlife.

The highlight of a visit to Thung Salaeng Luang is the breathtaking sight of the blooming white Krachiew flowers, especially during the rainy season. The sight of these beautiful flowers blooming across the grassland is truly mesmerizing. But the visual spectacle doesn't stop there. The park also offers incredible viewpoints to catch the sunrise and watch the magnificent morning sea of mist. Imagine the scene - rays of the morning sun, illuminating the green canvas of the forest, creating a painting-like view. No wonder this place is a big hit among nature lovers and photographers!

Thung Salaeng Luang also provides vast grasslands where tourists often choose to camp overnight. But, if you prefer a day trip, that's a great option too. You can arrive in the morning, spend a fantastic day exploring the park's natural beauty, and head back in the evening.
