Seven biker-friendly tourist routes near Bangkok

     Motorcycle road trips to different spots for a bit of R&R (Rest and Recreation) and to breathe in fresh air, or exploring as a biker, is a trend that's getting more popular. Not only do you get to soak up the atmosphere, admire the clear-cut natural views, it's also convenient and easy to plan. All you have to do is make sure your bike's good to go, pack some clothes in a backpack and you're off. Here, we've got 7 routes near Bangkok that all bikers should give a go:

     - Suan Phueng, Ratchaburi: It's a super chill destination not far from Bangkok. It's got everything from agriculture and nature to culture. It perfectly reflects the lifestyle of the locals. Plus, the weather's pretty awesome, which makes it a great spot for a biker's trip.

     - Pilok, Kanchanaburi: This is one popular destination, a town nestled among mountains and the extreme western frontier fog. There are traces of a once thriving mine that, although closed, still has interesting history to discover. The trip doesn't take long and you'll come across abundant nature and the challenge of navigating 399 bends to reach the I-Tong village.

     - Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, Prachuap Khiri Khan: This place is the full package - calm atmosphere, not too far, and you can explore the nature of the Sam Roi Yot marsh, chill in a café, drive along the sea, swim, relax in the cool waterfall, and have a romantic BBQ by the beach. You can even do an overnight trip or a day trip, both work. 

     - Wang Nam Khiao, Nakhon Ratchasima: This place is ideal for those who are into camping. Not too far from Bangkok, you'll encounter the calming vibes of the mountains, trees, and cool, pure air. Taste the delicious dishes made from locally grown, organic veggies. There's a variety of accommodation styles to pick from, and after dark, you can even join bull watching activities. 

     - Phu Toei National Park, Suphan Buri: This "unseen" attraction near Bangkok lets you embrace the beauty of nature, hills, and streams. There's "Khao Thewada," the highest peak in Suphan Buri, where you can get a full-on eye-full of the stunning mountain views. If you fancy waking up early to catch a cool breeze and see a sea of mist, this could be your perfect pick.

     - Namtok Krok I Dok, Saraburi: For bikers who love a bit of adventure and nature, and don't mind trekking into the forest, this is the place. Especially during the rainy season, this "unseen" waterfall in Saraburi is a prime choice. You get to hike through the forest to marvel at the lush surroundings, a journey of more than 8 kilometers. For the chill types, there's also a camping spot near the reservoir.

     -  Wang Bon reservoir, Nakhon Nayok: If you're a camper who doesn't have much free time, you can pitch a tent, stargaze and soak up the peaceful atmosphere by the reservoir, surrounded by trees big and small. You can also paddle a boat for some exercise. If you're looking for places near Bangkok, give it a shot. It's an all-season destination.
