      The travel route for the faithful of  Buddhism and Christianity in Sakon Nakhon Province, Nakhon Phanom  Province, and Mukdahan Province, includes beautiful temples that must not be missed, because each place possesses both the beauty of the architecture and the sanctity of religious places, including the teachings hidden in every aspect of every beautiful temple, which are described below: 

- Wat Tham Pha Daen, Muang District, Sakon Nakhon Province, is characterized by exquisite carvings on the rocky cliffs and a large statue of a serpent, where tourists can view the scenery and atmosphere of Sakon Nakhon from a high angle;

- Wat Hua Wiang Rangsi, That Phanom District, Nakhon Phanom Province, enshrines the Buddha image, Ming Mongkol Udom Chok, as well as elegant and faithful naga shackles, an ubosot (a hall for ordinations), and old murals depicting the story of the Buddha, the Jataka, and Ramayana;

- Wat Buddha Nimit, Tha Uthen District, Nakhon Phanom Province, is the location of the beautiful ubosot, built with Mekong River rocks, designed with Lan Xang architectural style on the stairway, with a picture of a half-naked serpent representing the Naga. In addition, the sanctuary features Singthip, the 12 animals of the year of birth, a watercolor painting of the Lord Buddha's history, and the beautiful Heet 12 Kong 14 Festival.

- Wat Roi Phra Phutthabat Phu Manorom, Muang District, Mukdahan Province, enshrines Phra Phuttha Ming Mongkol Muni Sri Mukdahan, a large Buddha image in the Subduing Mara position on Phu Manorom, and Phaya Si Mukda Maha Munee Nilpal Nakharat, the Naga standing majestically on Phu Manorom, and it is also a panoramic viewpoint of the Thai-Laos Mekong River.
