Tourism promotion measures

      The period of stay for a visa on arrival is extended up to 30 days until 31 March 2023.

      Now that the Covid-19 situation has eased, many countries are finally opening to tourists again to stimulate their economy, especially the hospitality and tourism sectors. Thailand is one of those countries. One of the tourism promotion measures is the extension of stay: 

1. The period of stay will be extended from 30 to 45 days for tourists from countries/ territories entitled to visa exemption and that have bilateral agreements with Thailand; 

2. The period of stay for visitors with visa on arrival will be extended from 15 days to 30 days. The rule is effective from 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, according to the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration Office, and relevant agencies.
