Application to stay in Thailand in accordance with Section 15 (diplomat, official), in the case of being members of a diplomatic mission

     Foreigners entering Thailand will be permitted to stay in Thailand according to the type of visa. Staying in Thailand beyond the permitted period will be considered an offense under the law, which is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding 20,000 baht, or both.

     However, foreigners staying in Thailand until the permitted period has expired and wishing to extend their stay may apply for a visa extension with different conditions and requirements, according to the type of visa and necessity. 

     Persons ion a diplomatic mission sent by a foreign government to perform duties in the Kingdom, or traveling through the Kingdom to perform duties in other countries, may apply for an extension of stay in Thailand under Section 15 (diplomatic, official) and must hold a diplomatic passport or official passport or United Nations passport with a visa, or be exempted from a visa (depending on whether the government of that country has made an agreement with the Thai government) and must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 Required documents

 1. TM.7 form;

 2. Copy of passport;

 3. Certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or from a government agency at the department level or equivalent.
