Application to stay in Thailand in the case of installation or repair of machinery, aircraft, or marine vessels

Foreigners who are allowed through immigration checkpoints by the immigration officers will receive a stamp of permission to enter and stay in the Kingdom of Thailand. The stamp indicates the date of entry and the final date of permission to stay in Thailand. The length of days depends on the type of visa or the statutory visa exemption, such as 15 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, or 1 year. If the permit period has expired and foreigners wish to stay in Thailand in order to work on installation or repair of machinery, aircraft, or marine vessels, a non-immigrant visa must be obtained and applicants must be certified and requested by the relevant organizations or agencies.

The required documents consist of a TM.7 form, a copy of the applicant's passport, and a certificate from the relevant organization or agency.

Staying in Thailand beyond the permitted period is considered an offense under the law, which is punishable by imprisonment of not more than 2 years or a fine of not more than 20,000 baht, or both.
