How to apply for an official visa

      An “official visa” is issued for diplomatic or official passport holders or UN Laissez-Passer holders visiting Thailand for official government duties.  


      The applicant must present a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Embassy/ Consulate-General/ government agency of the applicant’s country, or from the agency or United Nations organization with which the applicant is affiliated, or from a Thai government agency. The applicant’s name, position, and purpose of travel must be clearly stated in the certificate.

      
      This type of visa is granted without a fee. The duration of staying in Thailand may not exceed 90 days per time.
