Cosplayers, Gather Around! The Ministry of Culture is Ready to Elevate the Cosplay Industry, Driving Soft Powerfor Thailand's Image and Revenue

The Ministry of Culture is pushing forward with the promotion of the game and cosplay industries as a form of Soft Power that can generate income, stimulate the economy, and enhance Thailand's image, in line with the National Soft Power Strategy Committee (THACCA) policy.

The gaming industry has seen rapid growth with high potential for revenue generation. Similarly, the cosplay industry has shown remarkable growth, with an average annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 10%, driven by the increasing popularity of fan conventions worldwide, such as Comic-Con and Anime Expo. Supporting this industry will not only position Thailand as a regional hub for game development but will also promote Thai culture and creativity on the international stage.

To showcase the potential of the gaming industry, the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the private sector, organized the "Cosplay Art Festival 2024 (CAF 2024)" from July 19-21, 2024. This event brought together youth and enthusiasts of games and cosplay from Thailand and abroad to create and display various forms of art, such as cosplay, cosplay contests, exhibitions, character design, and new technologies related to gaming. The event also included conferences and workshops led by experts in the gaming industry.

This event provided a great opportunity for Thai cosplayers to demonstrate their artistic talents and creativity. It also served as a link between the gaming industry and tourism, helping to enhance the country's image and generate revenue. For more updates, visit www.facebook.com/CosplayArtFestival.
